A walk across Hohenzollern Bridge

The weather was glorious today – cold and windy but sunny – so I went for a walk to the Hohenzollern Bridge here in Cologne. I had crossed it by train many times before, and I had read somewhere that people have put “love locks” all over the bridge. I wasn’t prepared for the sheer amount of them, though! I also wasn’t prepared for the view, or how crowded the inner city is even on a Sunday, or how easily I can walk from my apartment all the way to the Cologne Cathedral if I have a bit of time. The Hohenzollern Bridge is definitely one of my favorite spots in this city so far.

Awesome pictures! I was in Cologne last week and I love it – if I had to go back to Germany, this is where I’d want to live. :-)
