Have plans for New Year’s yet?

BECAUSE I DO. AWESOME ONES.

I’m going back to Sweden for a whole week at the end of the year! The tickets have been booked, the ecstatic Skype conversation with my best friend there (K from India) has been had, empty free beds have been secured. Heh. And my old high school BFF here in Germany might even join me.

So many people seem to wonder how I can possibly go to Sweden in the absolute depth of winter but all I am slightly concerned about is flights being canceled in Germany because they can’t handle icy runways here the way they do in Sweden. Other than that, I cannot wait for the snow and the biting cold; all that empty land; the forests and the mountains and the lakes; the short days and the cozy nights; and the calm. I couldn’t think of a better vacation or a sweeter way to end what – so far – has been a great year.
