If you’re bored and you know it

My thesis is killing me. I have such impossible time pressure, and so much other school stuff to organize for right after the thesis deadline, that I can’t think straight. Also, I’m so bored with my topic because I’ve dealt with it at school for at least two years and in my free time. I think that I need to take breaks here and there in which I get out of this pressure packed study bubble but none of my friends here in Maastricht are in town anymore. So I’m stuck with just hanging out at the library and running into people I wouldn’t necessarily make a date with. Which is kinda sad and half the time backfires horribly because I meet people who are already done with their thesis, or I meet no one at all.
I don’t know. I just want this to be done already. And I keep wishing I would get a break this summer but I have more school stuff until mid-August and- BLAH. Not happy about any of this.

Oh I know that feeling! That pretty much describes my entire last year of university. It’s all worth it in the end though. It’s such a great feeling to be done with your degree.

Boy, I feel ya. Same problem here: six weeks to go until the semester ends, two really hard exams coming up, need to finish one presentation, during term break I need to finish at least two papers, internship of 6 weeks coming up, too… I need a break, too. I’m so tired, gosh.
I hope you’ll find some time to relax at least a little bit this weekend… I’ll keep my fingers crossed for you.

Honestly, sometimes just getting up and walking or doing something different for 20 minutes can be super refreshing and help you focus better when you come back!
Hope you can manage and muddle through. I know you will do a great job.

Aw lady, I remember this feeling all too well – it was pretty much how I felt about the entire last year of my degree! Power through, hey. Soon it’ll be over and done and you can wipe your hands of it. I’m so glad to have finally finished. Maybe hold out a bit longer, keep chugging through. It’ll be so sweet to finally have finished. :)
