Long weekend in Germany

I’m going back home to Germany for a looong weekend today. I have all the books I need for my Media and War final, all the articles printed out, all academic source material gathered and labeled and organized – the actual writing part I can do anywhere. So I’m leaving this place for a few days. I haven’t been at my parents’ since Christmas and am actually starting to miss the small town atmosphere just a little bit…

Plans for my time at home:

• Visit my grandmothers.
• Play around with my mom’s fancy Canon SLR.
• Meet with my oldest BFF, Nadine.
• Have lunch with my brother.
• Hit up the new Starbucks in the big city nearby.
• Go through my old closet to see if some of the clothes fit me again!
• Prepare to send out more job applications.
• Make it to the tanning studio at least once.
• Walk barefoot in my parents’ backyard.
• See if I can upgrade my phone to a BlackBerry Curve.
• Spend a whole day hanging out with my mom.
• … and finish my final project, of course!

I miss this sky! What is it about small towns in the country that makes the sky more beautiful?
