11 days in Sweden

Reunited with my better half, my soul mate, my twin, the only girl friend of mine with the same tomboy mindset I have: K from India. +++ Went back to the student house I lived in last semester and met the new kids. +++ Also met my old room mate, O from Morocco. That girl is my hero. +++ Wallowed in pain and loneliness and confusion. +++ Caught myself and recognized that while the circumstances have changed our friendships are still as strong as ever!
Attended 2 perfect birthday parties: small Swedish apartments, candle light, multicultural atmosphere, Turkish and Spanish and Bosnian food, expensive wine and cheap beer, good music, jello shots, laughter, feeling at home in the midst of close friends. +++ Spent my nights with my best guy friends; the most wonderful people ever: S and R from India, M from Pakistan, JB from France. +++ Wasted an unexpected amount of time at H&M.

Met many new people from all over the world; most notably this guy O from Turkey – possibly the only other human being besides me who enjoys snow this much. Also, this guy M who jokingly salsa danced another guy into fear and hiding. Heh. +++ Kind of developed a crush on this guy JH from Korea when he called his guitar his baby and sang me to sleep one night with a uniquely perfect version of the Beatles’ “Let it be”. Also, driest humor ever = love. +++ Took a long walk around the gigantic, currently frozen lake in town.
Enjoyed Swedish-Turkish-Indian breakfast! +++ Lived in the stereotypical ERASMUS student apartment. Loud music until 4am, strange and spicy cooking, so. much. smoking, no rules, over-night guests no one has ever seen before, immature jokes, dead and empty until noon, group studying insanity. +++ Helped plan four guy friends’ Euro road trip for the summer. They’ll drive across France, Spain and Italy, and also make a stop in Maastricht! +++ Lost 5kg. I don’t even know how that is possible – but I’ll accept it gladly.

PLEASE TELL ME YOU BOUGHT THAT DRESS.
I am glad you could get over the WOAH This is Different to really enjoy yourself. I love your pictures as usual! They look effortless but sonorofessional like they should be in a magazine on house design or food.

Um, no. I actually DIDN’T buy the dress. I just know I would never wear it… I’m starting to like myself in dresses but I still don’t like the idea of how inconvenient it is to wear a dress! Ha.
Also, thank you, you’re sweet! ♥
