First day of my final semester
First day back since June 2010, first day of my final semester.
And a Monday.
All things considered, it went okay.
I still have so many administrative things to work out, and the course workload for the next eight weeks is intense. There will be too much team work projects for my liking and too few lectures. Content-wise, one course is very theoretic; it’s the kind of course you just try to somehow get through for the credits – and almost all the students are German. The other course is called “Media and War” and it’s awesome. I’m sure I’m going to talk about it in more depth soon but- it’s just a perfect combination of so many important topics that really interest me! Plus, there’s people from Canada, Korea, France, and Finland in my group and the tutor seems great so far.
You know, the thing is: I know I will miss being a uni student so much once it’s all over but I still can’t stop thinking how much it sucks that a student’s job is never done. It’s not like you come home and you’re done, or it’s the weekend and you get a break. This semester, I need to find a way to take some time off from uni-related stuff, whether it’s by being lazy at home or being busy doing anything but reading and essay writing and presentation preps and so on.

As always, I am so jealous and interested about your uni topics, feel free to talk about them A TON.
I know what you mean about school — there is always something you SHOULD be doing at school, even if you don’t. One of the few perks about my job now is that when I leave at 5, I don’t have to worry about it again until the next morning.
